We’ve got some brilliant news to share – our Partner, Charles Hill, has been named in Accountancy Age’s 35 Under 35!
The national list celebrates young professionals making a difference in the world of accountancy, and Charles’ inclusion comes as no surprise to anyone here at Cottons. He’s been at the heart of some of our biggest steps forward in recent years – growing client relationships, improving audit quality, and supporting the next generation of accountants across the firm.
From trainee to Partner
Charles started his career with Cottons after graduating with a first-class degree in economics. After five years at a Top 12 firm, he returned to Cottons in 2022 to help drive growth and strengthen audit quality.
Since then, he’s led the integration of J R Watson & Co, increasing turnover by 50% while keeping its community work for local charities and churches going strong. He also oversaw the transition of Roberts & Co’s clients, tripling that portfolio through referrals and relationship-building.
In June 2024, Charles became one of Cottons’ youngest equity partners – a milestone that reflects both his technical ability and people-first leadership.
