Christy Houghton

Marketing Assistant

Christy joined Cottons as a Marketing Assistant in April 2025, based in Northampton. She graduated from the University of Northampton in 2017, having gained a BA (Hons) in Multimedia Journalism, with NCTJ and BJTC accreditations.

During that time, she interned at the University’s press office, and various radio stations, including BBC Radio Northampton. Christy volunteered at local community radio station NLive on and off for three years, including while studying MA Media, Culture and Society at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2020.

From October 2019, until she joined Cottons, she was the Digital Content Writer, and later the Social Media Content Executive, at Reed group. Christy’s skills include copywriting, proofreading, video and audio recording and editing, interviewing, and graphic design.

In her spare time, Christy enjoys spending time with family, exploring new cities, listening to music, and watching TV shows.
