James Melvin

James is a Partner based in our Rugby office. James joined Cottons as a trainee in 2006, qualifying four years later. James subsequently was awarded a CISI Level 6 Diploma in Corporate Finance in 2017. He demonstrates strong technical knowledge and performs the role of Audit Manager for a number of our clients. He also provides ongoing support to some of our larger and more complex clients across the practice.

James has a keen interest in current affairs and keeping abreast of business news and regulatory developments and is passionate about helping to develop the skills and experience of our trainees.

In his spare time, James enjoys a day at the races, attempting to keep fit and reading. James holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University.
